How To Cure
Back Acne In The Best Possible Way
Before we give you information on how to cure
back acne, lets understand what acne is. Acne is a skin
condition which can occur in a person in their puberty stage or
even in their 40s. It is a condition where the skin pores get
clogged due to an excessive oil accumulation on the surface of
the skin. There is no escape through the pores and hence
results in eruptions and bumps on the skin. Acne can be formed
on the face, upper arms and the back.
Acne formed on other parts of the body other
than the back is easier to treat. The back is a far less
exposed part and requires special care for treatment of acne
this is why many people are concerned on how to cure back acne.
The skin on the back is tougher than the other parts of the
body. Some stronger treatments can be used as the skin is less
sensitive on the back.
Tips
* Use cotton fabric over polyester. Manmade fibers make you
sweat more resulting in spread of the bacteria.
* Use natural fibers over satin sheets.
* Have a shower after a workout. Always wear fresh clothes.
* Wash regularly and remove the dead skin.
* Don't wear tight clothes. This can irritate the skin further
and cause more acne.
* Change your bed sheets regularly. This can be a good place
for the bacteria to breed.
* Change your clothes twice daily to avoid further increase of
acne.
Diet does not seem to play a very important in
treating back acne. However, since it has a part to play in
treating acne in other parts of the body, it is always
advisable to follow a healthy and nutritious meal. The diet
should be rich in vitamins and minerals and low in fat to
prevent extra oil on your skin and prevent more acne formation.
Drinking lots of water is very helpful in flushing out the
toxins from your body and also in keeping your skin hydrated
and moist at all times.
The presence of acne on the back is because
this portion of the body is always covered thereby leaving it
overheated. There is no escape of sweat and with clothes
rubbing the area all the time, it gives place for the bacteria
to infest and form acne.
A mild soap can be used to wash your back and
use of an astringent everyday should help. The astringent can
be made at home using tea tree oil or lemon juice. Tea tree oil
has antibacterial characteristics and can be applied gently on
the acne with a cotton swab.
Treatment
1. Wash the back with an antibacterial cleansing liquid such as
Cetaphil. Regular soaps can be harsh for the skin.
2. Use a 10 percent benzoyl peroxide gel or cream followed by
alpha hydroxyl acid based body moisturizer which will help in
exfoliation.
3. Severe back acne requires prescription antibiotics like
tetracycline or minocycline.
Curing back acne (bacne) is a time consuming
process. If you have a severe case of acne, it is best to see a
dermatologist and follow his advice on how to cure back acne. A
good antibiotic treatment should give you the relief. Never try
to squeeze your acne as it can only aggravate the situation by
spreading to other areas.
